Stats
★ I went to the gym 10 times. I've increased my chest press to 40lbs after being stuck at 30 for months, got my mile time down to 14:03, and have had to increase my weight used for the back track in bodypump. The work still works even when it looks like it isn't, etc. I couldn't chop carrots without being in excruciating pain in my 20s, so any upper body gains are very exciting and I will never shut up about them.
★ I read 2 books.
- I Would Leave Me If I Could: A Collection of Poetry by Halsey - This was bad!
- The Difference Engine by William Gibson and Bruce Sterling - This wasn't bad per se, but I sure didn't understand it.
★ I watched 4 movies.
- Pineapple Express - I have no real opinion of this movie.
- Enter the Void - I can't even tell you what this movie was.
- The Love Witch - Visually and tonally perfect, but about an hour too long.
- Tropic Thunder - People swore to me that the blackface was well done and addressed in the movie and, sure, I guess. I expected it to be a funnier movie.
- Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery - Why did we all watch this so much as a kid? Mostly holds up.
★ I finished 0 crafts or personal projects.
The sweater is still progressing nicely. I am cautiously optimistic that I will be able to share it soon.
★ I finished 0 video games.
Fallout 4 is such a long game if you're working to 100% it. I have at least four achievements that will need a third playthrough, so I'm doing my best to get the rest of them before I stop playing. I really want to stop playing and move on to Alan Wake, just not as much as I want my stupid achievements.
Misc
Honorable mention boring milestone: I swapped my fitness tracker from Whoop to a Garmin because the way Whoop was handling their subscription model gave me the ick. I'm really liking the Garmin! I don't need to pay a subscription for the features that I want and I feel like it tracks my sleep with a lot more accuracy. I've already figured out that I get more deep sleep time if I take one of my medications an hour later than I was. The Garmin also adds to my hydration goal based on my exercise for the day and I have learned that I don't think I've ever been hydrated in my life. Neat!
I've got Activities planned for every month from now until June, so this was my last bit of winter hibernation.
