★ I went to the gym 7 times. I had to take a week off because I got sick. And then I took some days off because I got so frustrated with my gym that I didn't want to go anymore. But I've joined a new one! I was unhappy with the old gym for a while because the hot tub was always filthy and the hot tub was kind of the entire point of the membership for me. So I'm at a gym that is half the price and offers all of the same classes, it just only has a sauna. But it has more equipment. But it is also coed. There are pros and cons. Altogether it feels like the correct choice, though.
★ I read 1 book.
- The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller. This book is art. This book is poetry. This book is a gut-punch. Quoting any part of it would not do it justice.
★ I watched 4 movies.
- Scooby-Doo (2002). It wasn't good but I had a good time.
- The Pink Panther (2006).
- The Interview. I didn't love this but I do love that it pissed North Korea off so much.
- Hallow Road. My husband put this on while I played my Steam Deck beside him but so little happened that I feel like I watched the entire thing. I hated it. Nothing happens. To be fair, we knew I wouldn't like it and that's why we didn't try to watch it together. But it insisted on being known.
★ I finished 0 crafts or personal projects.
I had to scrap the sweater because on my second try I finally decided to see if anyone else on ravelry is struggling with the pattern. Everyone is. The creator has been contacted by multiple people and doesn't care to fix it. I personally emailed Knitpicks and I guess their stance is that they don't vet patterns at all. So I wont buy another pattern through them.
I'm currently working on a hat for a quick win and to knit down some of my stash. The failed sweater has caused it to grow quite a bit. I told myself when I started knitting again that I wasn't going to let the stash take over.
★ I finished 1 video game.
Cyberpunk 2077 was good! And only a little buggy at the moment.
Misc
I saw Hayley Williams and thought it was just ok.
I saw Florence and the Machine and thought it was a transcendent experience and cannot stop thinking about it.
I also did stuff, like go to the Japan Festival.
