I've been on a mission the past few months. In February 2025 I finally got fed up with how the Spotify* algorithm was deciding to show me new music and have taken it upon myself to better curate my account. I listened to every song I clicked like on, decided if I still liked it, and put every artist and band that I liked into a spreadsheet. I'm now working through those artist's catalogs.

Since I'm already doing the work for fun, might as well share it here.

I was into his first two albums and was looking forward to seeing his set at Warped but...I'm over him. The new pop punk album feels like a soulless money-grab genre shift and now he's posting political apathy and trolling people in his instagram comments. I don't believe that this is a "cancelable" offense but I do believe that my music spreadsheet and the Warped lineup are too full for me to pay any more attention to what he has to say.

I will never stop feeling FOMO for not attending the Pep show in Boston where tiLLie opened for Lights. And Lights broke her foot. Not that I want my girl to break her foot, but it's a part of her lore now and I missed it! It was too close to covid for my comfort so I didn't buy tickets.
