2026 Goals

I don't believe in New Year's Resolutions because there's nothing about me that needs to be fixed, but I do sometimes make little goals. Here's this year's + probably a progress log as the year goes on. If no one has told you, you can have fun goals!!

  1. Deadlift 130 lbs
★ I'm doing 60lbs for reps as of 12/2025. Is this a feasible goal for a year? I don't know, but I have low bone density in my legs so we're gonna shoot for this.

  2. 10 minute mile
      ★ I'm starting at 14:53

  3. Learn to play guitar
★ My mom bought me a gutiar in high school. I still can't play it. I need to play it or get it out of my house, let's be honest.
★ As of 12/2025 I know 3 chords and have played zero songs.

  4. 30% Average Game Completion on Steam
★ I could do the math and figure out how much work this is but that doesn't sound like fun.
★ Starting out with a 28% game completion and am working on getting my Fallout 4 completion to 100%

  5. Don't dye my hair
★ I typically dye my hair a very slightly darker version of my natural hair color. Since going through surgical menopause I got a LOT more grays and have noticed feeling bad about them and needing to cover them vs dyeing my hair because I like the darker color. So we're doing a little brain reset.

  6. Complete an HTML course - Completed 1/2/2026
★ I'm going to work through whatever Codecademy has.
★ I'm obviously managing to get things functional because the site exists, but I'd like more than my 1999 neopets background.
  7. My main takeaways from having completed this course are that Codecademy asks you for money at an annoying frequency, I am apparently an HTML genius, and I'd like to get more into CSS. I'll start closing my tags, though.

  8. Complete an activity book
★ I acquired a small stack of adult coloring books when I thought they might be a calming activity to help me work through insomnia.
★ It turns out I will stay up even later to finish a picture and that I need to read a book to get sleepy instead.

  9. Finish "Recalibrating" Spotify
★ I mentioned on my music page that I'm working through a bananas spreadsheet of music to figure out what I like because algorithms suck.
★ I've really enjoyed listening to full albums! You know, the full work that the artist created.
★ I don't think getting through my list is physically possible. At all. That's not going to stop me.
★ I'm starting at 33 of 385 artists listened to. I'm adding more. Shhh don't worry about it.

  10. Read my physical books
★ I don't think I'm going to get through all of my books, but I would really like to get things to a point where they aren't double-rowed.
★ I hate dusting these guys. I primarily read library books on my Kindle. Why am I dusting physical books that I haven't read. This is madness.
